Hi Reader,
Two years ago, I was in the depths of a spiral that I had no name for.
Daily aches and pains moved around from my back to my pelvis to my shoulder, and strange physical sensations became the baseline of my days.
After months of doctor’s appointments with no answers and the frustrating advice to "just relax," I started wrestling with one question every single day:
Is this health anxiety, or am I really sick?
I went back and forth with this question, unable to interpret what my body was telling me and unsure if I could trust my own thoughts. I was completely spent from the mental gymnastics, yet no closer to an answer.
In my latest blog post (part five of my series on health anxiety and chronic pain), I’m sharing the pivotal breaking point of this journey. It’s about the dark before the light and the moment I realized I couldn't self-care my way out of the loop I was stuck in.
If you’ve ever felt completely spent from trying to figure out what your body or mind is going through, you might relate to this one.
Thank you for reading,
P.S. I’d love to hear from you. Have you ever found yourself going back and forth on the same endless question, unable to find an answer? Whether it was about your health or something completely different, hit reply and let me know. I read every email, and the more we share these stories, the less alone we all feel :)
